MMM is fondly known as 'a man of the people'. From a zestful Rotaractor to a political party General Secretary, he continues to carry the true spirit of a leader so elegantly. He expresses great concern for the well being of fellow men and the betterment of society. He advocates that social responsibility is as important as an individual's personal and professional life.

His commitment towards social and economic upliftment is highly commendable inspiring thousands of Rotarians, students and youngsters. Over the last 20 + years, he has trained and motivated a million students on his favourite topic "Dare to Change! Dare to Shape!".

As part of the Corporate Social Responsibility, he started The Excel Foundation, a non-profitable charitable trust that does noteworthy services to the less fortunate and needy. The foundation addresses issues like hunger, health, education and well being of children, youth and senior citizens.

It has adopted a spastic children's home to help special children with occupational therapies and treatment. It has launched coaching centres that support educational scholarships to physically challenged, accident survivors and students from the weak economic background.
