Dear Friends Glad to share my appointment as Vice President of Rotary International (2026–27) by RI President-Elect Yinka Babalola and the Board members. I am truly thankful for this opportunity to serve, contribute meaningfully to Rotary’s mission, and work together to create lasting impact across our communities and beyond. 71 ஆண்டுகளுக்குப்பிறகு உலகை ஆளும் திருச்சி தமிழன் !
ரோட்டரி இன்டர்நேஷனலின் இயக்குநர்களுள் (2025-2028) ஒருவராக பதவி வகித்துவரும், எம்.எம்.எம். முருகானந்தம் 2026 – 2027 ஆம் ஆண்டிற்கான, ரோட்டரி இன்டர்நேஷனலின் துணைத் தலைவராக நியமிக்கப்பட்டிருக்கிறார்.
ரோட்டரி இன்டர்நேஷனலின் வரலாற்றில், தமிழர் ஒருவர் முதன்முறையாக இத்தகைய உயர் தகுதியை எட்டியிருக்கிறார் என்பது உண்மையில் வரலாற்றுப் பெருமைதான்.
இதற்கு முன்னர், ரோட்டரி இன்டர்நேஷனலின் துணைத் தலைவராக மூன்று இந்தியர்கள் பதவி வகித்திருக்கிறார்கள். BT தாக்கூர் ( 1946-47); ஷபூர் பில்லிமோரியா (1949-50); நிதிஷ் லஹாரி (1953-54) ஆகியோரை அடுத்து, இந்தியாவிலிருந்து நான்காவது நபராக தேர்வாகியிருக்கிறார். மிக முக்கியமாக, ஏறத்தாழ 71 ஆண்டுகளுக்குப்பிறகு இந்தியர் ஒருவர் ரோட்டரி இன்டர்நேஷனலின் துணைத் தலைவர் பதவியை அலங்கரிக்கிறார்.
திருச்சியின் அடையாளமாக, தமிழகத்தின் பெருமையாக, உலகை ஆளும் இந்தியனாக உருவெடுத்திருக்கும் எம்.எம்.எம். முருகானந்தம் இன்னும் பல சாதனை உச்சங்களைத் தொட வாழ்த்தி மகிழ்கிறது, உங்கள் அங்குசம் !
