RI District 3000 - Cervical Cancer Awareness Jallikattu: Hosted by All Rotary Clubs of Madurai @ Alanganallur,TN .
Happy to be part of this meaningful Jallikattu event, where 1000 bullocks & 800 tamers participated, organized by RI 3000 to create awareness about cervical cancer. Glad to know that through this impactful initiative, D3000 has reached numerous villages & is set to provide cervical cancer vaccination to nearly 1 Lakh women in phases, reinforcing Rotary’s commitment to preventive healthcare and women’s well-being. Hats off to all the Rotary Club Presidents, Secretaries, District Officials,& Committee Members for their dedication and collective effort in making this initiative a grand success. Glad to attend the First PELS after becoming the Vice President-Elect. RI has designed the PELS program to help Presidents-Elect realize that leadership is a rare & meaningful opportunity to guide their teams with passion and purpose. I always believe that it is a 365-day responsibility, a focused and time-bound journey. With the right mindset & teamwork, we can make our organization Bigger, Better, & Bolder. I had the honour of meeting the Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Thiru Udhayanidhi Stalin, & the Hon’ble Minister for School Education,Thiru Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi.
Happy to receive their warm wishes on the occasion of my appointment as the 4th Indian, after a historic gap of 71 years & the first Tamilian since the inception of Rotary International, now marking 122 years of service, to be elected as Vice President of Rotary International (2026–27).
We also discussed strengthening collaborative initiatives in Education, Health, &Hygiene, aimed at benefiting communities across the entire state of Tamil Nadu.
It was a pleasure to be part of the opening ceremony of Nagappa Styles Glen Showroom at Chennai.
I am happy to note that Nagappa Styles brings together all customer requirements under one umbrella, reflecting thoughtful planning and a truly customer-centric approach. I was also delighted to join the opening ceremony along with Dr. HV HANDAE, Former Health Minister, 2026 Padma Shri Awardee, and a 99-year-old veteran politician and physician, whose presence added immense valueto the occasion.
